Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThis restaurant serves fantastic fast food with a homemade touch. I have dined here multiple times and always enjoy their generous portions, especially their large burgers. You can tell that the food is prepared with care and attention to detail.
The restaurant started many years ago as a single venue, and has since expanded to multiple locations in Barrie. The food is delicious and prepared right in front of you on an open grill. They offer a variety of meat dishes from burgers to steaks, with something for everyone in between.
For the money there are better choices in Barrie at all not like the original Barrie Burger on Yonge Street. Tiny dish of 12 frozen onion rings for $4.00. No refills on large soda, which was a regular coffee cup. Really down and... inside.
Barrie Burger on Dunlop St W is a curious mix of minimal diner tea and minimal Burger chain ambiance. Sitting is functional and overfilled... comparable to McDonalds, Wendy 's etc... but all seats / stools, no cabins... but clean. You put and pay for your order on the counter and then wait to pick up your meal on a tray. The menu is with burgers... 5 ounces, cheese, bacon and banquet bacon cheese); 10 ounces of barrie $7.95) and Super $8.95) Burger. The Superburger contains Cheddar cheese and smoked back bacon. On my last visit was the daily Special Banquet Burger with Fries and 12 oz Soda for $9.99. All-in-all, very reasonable prices. But the menu is not just burgers. Breakfast options include a variety of inexpensive eggs meat options and basic omelettes that all include toast, houseries and coffee. Also pancakes, French toast and a small selection of roasted sandwiches. But nothing funny... so no waffles or eggs Benedict. But important for many, all breakfast options are available ALL DAY. Non-breakfast menu includes a small selection of chicken and souvlaki options... as a duck or on a bungalow, as well as the usual chicken fingers and hot sandwiches. Prices are very reasonable. During my recent visit, a daily special by Steak on a fryer with fries and soda at $11.65 for a late dinner I decided to one of the full-day breakfast items... 3 eggs and steak, houseries, toast, coffee... $11,80 $10,75 before 11:30 hrs.). Eggs were good. At home were Pommes and Limps. Steak rarely came, as desired, was chewing and almost tasteless, but OK for the price of meal. White toast... late a day and had other toast options. Coffee was clearly disappointing... tepid and tasteless. The burgers are a much better bet. The Superburger is a really good food for itself. Altogether... an OK restaurant.
We had heard good things about the burgers here and drive by all the time, but just finally decided to give them a try. Not that there was anything “wrong” with the burger but we will probably not return because there are much better burgers...to be found in Barrie. We were happy that we did take out because the restaurant also had an off-putting smell. We also found the burger to be a little pricy although they were big. Personally I would rather a smaller portion of higher quality.
