Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónWow, what an experience! I am not the type of person to leave reviews, but this place deserves it. Nick M was such a sweetheart and showed great hospitality. He was so kind, stroke up a conversation with all the customers, and was so easy to talk to. The food was delicious! The amount of food we ordered versus the bill was shockingly low especially for Williamsburg. My partner and I stopped in on a whim and it was the best decision. The apple pie cider is a must.
We came in for dinner around 6 on a Tuesday and spot was pretty empty which was nice because we have a toddler. Our server Justin was really nice and accommodating letting us know about a kids menu. The food was decent portions , nothing crazy but I will say I was pretty impressed with the kids menu Mac n cheese. All the adult entrees were right around $20/plate . My only complaint is the chips and salsa which was $8 and not that great , although to be fair it’s not even on the menu. This place also has a great view of McCarren park which is where we went afterwards! Overall good view and chill vibes id go back!
Bar Bruno provided an exceptional dining experience, showcasing an array of dishes that displayed creativity, flavor, and a remarkable culinary finesse. The Birria Pizza stood out as a pinnacle of elegance and flavor. Combining the quesadilla dough with the birria as a topping, accented by cilantro and lime, resulted in a delightful symphony of flavors that scored a solid 9/10. The value proposition, offering such quality for $20, was undeniable, making it an outstanding choice. While the steak tacos were satisfactory, the toppings shone brighter than the steak itself, catering to personal taste preferences. However, the BEC (bacon, eggs, and maple syrup pancakes) was a true delight, despite the absence of noticeable cheese. The harmonious blend of flavors made it a standout dish. The Carnitas Tacos excelled, delivering an abundance of flavorful meat complemented by well-chosen toppings, showcasing a depth of culinary expertise. The Smoked Wings, paired with the tantalizing green sauce, soared to a perfect 10/10, earning high praise for their exceptional taste. The Plantains con Crema offered a delightful fusion of sweet and savory notes, consistent with its reputation for being a consistently delicious choice. Meanwhile, the Carnitas Burrito, served alongside a house salad and sour cream, impressed with its flavorful profile and complementary accompaniments. Moving on, the Pulled Pork Sandwich displayed subtle notes of saltiness, which while not entirely favored, maintained a decent overall quality. However, the fries did not meet expectations, standing out negatively as one of the least enjoyable items. Conversely, the Sliders proved to be a standout highlight, demonstrating an exceptional level of deliciousness that warranted a repeat order. The Mexican slaw, with its tangy and juicy qualities, earned a perfect 5/5 rating, enhancing the overall dining experience. Regarding desserts, the Dessert Nachos presented an innovative concept of cinnamon-sugar tortilla chips paired with fruits, chocolate syrup, and ice cream, achieving a commendable 4/5 rating. The Churros were a warm and fresh delight, accompanied by a sauce reminiscent of hot chocolate with a hint of Baileys-style flavor. However, the Flan, despite its quality, fell short in portion size for its price, causing disappointment compared to other dishes. In summary, Bar Bruno's culinary offerings were outstanding, showcasing the prowess and dedication of the chefs, despite minor drawbacks in a few items. The overall experience was characterized by tremendous flavors and innovative creations that resonated positively with the dining experience.
Great atmosphere with awesome food and killer margaritas. Service is great and attentive. Good for groups or chilling by the bar. Music is also fire .
The rating is closer to a 3.5. Looking for a good soup and low key yet fun vibe? Bar Bruno had you covered. I came here for dinner in Friday night. Pros: the tortilla soup (5/5) honestly I'd come back just for the soup, it was bomb. Perfectly balanced, great textures, this was my highlight here. the guy serving us was funny and nice Cons: the Margarita tasted like it was from a mix. I added cucumber flavor but barely tasted it. This is also the first place I see charge $2 for making a drink spicy. they don't offer you to choose a beer for your michelada shrimp quesadilla was fine but nothing to write home about Like I said, I'd come back for the soup.
