De Nieuwe Karmeliet Haarlem

Karmeliet was the first stop on our busy explore Haarlem for a day tour. We started in Karmeliet with tea and coffee on early Saturday morning. As per pre arranged plan for a day we could order coffee and tea together with an apple cake. I cannot really comment on the quality of the tapas or other food, only the cake. The cake was ok, however I missed a big spoon of whipped cream on the side, which arrived little bit later and to our surprise it did arrive on one plate for 7 of us to share. I can imagine that you want to make life easier for yourself and dump all cream on one plate, but this is not how it should be done. We also didn't get the napkins and had to ask for them..The evening menu looked inviting and maybe it is worth a try..my apple cake I will eat elsewhere..
