Attended lunch mid-week and was underwhelmed. Ordered steak which was good but side dishes which consisted of a garden salad and potatoes was a let down. Heirloom tomatoes lacked flavour. Overall ok but would forgo a second visit. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

Warm and chic neighbourhood gem, offering seasonal modern Italian/Australian degustation, that is sure to please, without the price tag. Food was executed perfectly with influences of modern molecular gastronomy touches. Foam game was strong this time around, balanced flavours. We had oysters and pate tart, followed by corn foam chawanmushi umami , a generous serving of smoked egg ravioli, and homemade sourdough to polish off the decadent sauce. Entrees were perfectly cooked, warm on the palate. Barramundi did overpower the rest of the dishes, would prefer a more mellow fish eg john dory but loved this classic. Lamb rump-medium rare perfection. And dessert, the bitterness of the chocolate/cacao and salted caramel flavours were a delight. Well done team Oster!
