Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónJackfruit curry might have been the blandest curry I've ever tried. The aloo bodi tama was a little better. 7-bean soup was quite delicious. The Nanbrot (not butter) was decent. Menu marked quite well. Overall, food felt relatively healthy, but not hit the point.
Tara's rich, sticky, and sweet garlic tofu is one of my favorite dishes in Los Angeles. It is served without charging and presetting the silicon progress.
I had read about this place on Happycow and decided to try it. I've eaten twice here. Here is the Himalayan Cuisine review of my Tara. The location is located on the route of Venice Blvd in South-Culver city dotted by a handful of Brazilian restaurants. Outside the restaurant there is a covered terrace seating area and inside is an illuminated, casual, intimate room. Each table has a large picture of a famous and majestic Himalayan mountains. The waiter looked Nepalese and was friendly. I ordered a curry lunch special along with a steamed vegetable mamaos lunch special. The curry was well seasoned and delicious. The momos were spicy (to my surprise) and very tasty. An orange sauce is served with the mothers who may contain milk, so I didn't eat it. If you are vegan, please ask. The curry lunch special also comes with a small side of Daal (Yummy), Naan bread and rice. Under $9 per set. Momos are round Nepalese dumplings filled with veil vests. Tara's vegetable mamaos come either in panfried or steamed. If you are curious, this is a good place to try it! I just know the momos are a little hot.
Parking spaces are available in the back, but street parking is also an option. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and wasn't too busy during Saturday lunchtime. However, it did take a bit of time for our food to arrive. The portion sizes are smaller than other similar establishments, but still satisfying. I highly recommend trying the curry and garlic naan, and the Mango Chutney has a unique and delicious flavor.
The food here was very good and the prices are reasonable. Chicken curry and daal fry were both delicious with rice, garlic naan is crispy and satisfying, and the momo were also delicious. My absolute favorite was the Mango-Cutney.
