Carmelita's Authentic Mexican Food

Looks a lot nicer without the salsa bar. Food is great, there are only two Mexican style restaurants in oak view and this one is superior food-wise.I’m a little disappointed there is not a specific “burrito bowl” or similar on the menu. Portion sizes are large and quality of the food is high. I work nearby so it’s nice to have a good eatery in my satellite.Bathroom is always clean when I’ve used it. Parking: Parking lot leaves a little to be desired as it’s regularly full of vehicles without patrons being in the store, locals likely use it to park their cars.

The people who work here are a delight. They are pleasant, smiley and chat just enough! The dishes are excellent and what they charge is very fair. When we are in Ojai, we always come to Carmelita's.

This was our first visit, and wish we had tried it sooner. This is our new favorite place to enjoy a meal. Come try it, you won't be disappointed. Kid-friendliness: They have high chair and booster seats. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy enough to access, inside or outside dinning.
