Ironclad Brewery - Porters Neck

This place was recommended to us by a colleague. Of the beers we tried in Wilmington, this one was the best. We can see why this place is ideal for events. It is beautiful on the inside, but the place has a strong cigarette smell (the reason for the 4 stars), and oddly, there is a vape vending machine right outside the restrooms. We'd say give the place a try but make sure they are not closed for a private event.

With the character of this venue you don't have to do much in ways of decor for your important event. Its beautiful the exposed brick, the wood on the bars, the dark wrought iron, delicate string lights, the statement front doors. We had the most incredible experience planning and enjoying our wedding. The staff was exceptional, from coordination with Rachel in the months prior to the whole staff being on top of things for day of festivities. My family and friends still talk about our day, and we will remember it forever. I'd highly recommend you check the place out for yourself when they are open for normal brewery hours! Oh AND they are dog friendly!

This place has some of the most unique beers in America. A pickle Witt. A smoked plum kolsch. A bourbon smoked honey lager. And they're all delicious.

Visited here during our trip for our anniversary. Everything was great!!! The staff was awesome! We liked the beer so much we had to get a growler to bring home. If you like breweries and are in the area definitely check it out!
