One of the highlights of this establishment is its peaceful atmosphere; there was no disruptive noise whatsoever, which is a testament to the management’s efforts. The only sound we heard was the phone ringing with orders from local patrons, who were in and out quickly to pick up their meals. From what we observed, customers left with a lot of delicious food, which might leave other restaurants feeling a bit intimidated! The menu features fantastic food, and I have no complaints whatsoever. The sandwiches, hamburgers, and portion sizes are impressive for a great price, making it a good value overall. The ingredients are fresh, adding to the overall quality of the dining experience. Highly recommended!
As frequent diners who enjoy exploring NYC restaurants two to three times a day, I often rely on takeout or dining out, as I don’t cook at home. Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately struck by the cozy ambiance, filled with soft candlelight, and it was spotless—so clean you could practically eat off the floor! I ordered a cheeseburger topped with mushrooms and grilled onions, requesting it to be well-done with no pink inside. I also asked for my fries to be crispy and not greasy. Our waitress, Giovanna, was incredibly attentive and professional, displaying a welcoming attitude and genuine smiles, making me feel like royalty all during my meal. Her recommendations for the menu were spot-on, showcasing her thorough knowledge. When my burger arrived, I was amazed by the size—it was like something out of a mafia movie, a true "B-I-G" burger! The fresh roll was an inch thick, and the burger patty appeared to be freshly ground and undoubtedly not frozen, all for just $8! Honestly, this burger could easily pass for a $16 item, and it was accompanied by a small container of the best coleslaw I have ever tasted—simple yet perfectly seasoned with just a touch of pepper and a slice of pickle. I also ordered half a garlic bread, requesting it to be well-browned. It came out perfectly, with the garlic finely chopped, showcasing the care that goes into preparing the food as if it were for their own family. The other dish ordered was a steak sandwich served on a round roll, which was satisfying as well, with no complaints. The fries with both dishes were delightfully crispy rather than greasy; they appeared to have been coated expertly before frying. They reminded me of the fries from Miami Subs, and the portion sizes were enormous, just like the sandwiches! I ended up asking for a container to take some of my leftovers home. What a fantastic discovery! This restaurant seemingly has undergone a makeover, transforming from a typical Greek diner to an Italian menu powerhouse. The portion sizes are enough to feed a family, reminiscent of dining in Greece—simply massive. Last but not least, our waitress Giovanna was a dynamo, showcasing a remarkable work ethic that is hard to find these days. Her attention to detail was incredible; she thoroughly cleaned every surface after we finished our meal, ensuring everything was spotless before the next shift began. If I were them, I wouldn’t stop working until everything was perfect! I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant. It truly feels like a goldmine, and with someone as energetic as Giovanna on staff, they have a winning formula!
