L'ulivo - Menton

It is a charming restaurant located in a courtyard three sides. food is excellent and very talented staff. the owner is a very hot person who asked us for our food preferences - he asked him if he could recommend our meal. we naturally accepted - no work for us! the fish was excellent - we shared an entrance plate of squid carpaccio, calamars and salmon. I had john dory as main dish and ciara had a seafood spaghetti - we both loved. wine was excellent as you take it for granted in this part of the world. we tended to go with local wines (provence). They also serve the best limoncillo I've ever tasted - a free digestive, but how they trusted us by leaving the whole bottle on the table, I'll never know! Jeez.

After a pleasant and personal welcome, we had a delicious three-course lunch with friends. We love the atmosphere and we will come back for a rehearsal if we return to chin.

We have just returned to eat at the restaurant, very mediocre, very affectionate and presumptuous and very long to pay - forget this restaurant. I've been living here for 20 years - so I know that to chin, good restaurants are really hard to find. but there are a few better than this

This restaurant with typical Corsican cuisine where you can enjoy a young roasted pig. It was interesting to try their tasting set but from my point of view a little expensive for the plates we ate.

We visited in a group of friends. We were given only the menu on the map to begin though a fixed menu was clearly announced outside. the fixed menu appeared fairly quickly after a person rose to check the table outside. Just a little point but it gave the tone. the restaurant was busy and there was obviously not enough staff to serve in a relaxed manner. the last part of any conversation with the staff took place while the staff began to move away to try to cope with the workload. commands passing between the kitchen and the service staff were sufficiently charged and intrusive - not a relaxed atmosphere. The food was good. the wine was quite expensive (30€ the cheapest) but to be honest, the quality was good. Another night with more staff could be better.
