Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThe restaurant has a stunning view, especially during sunset, but the food is average at best and extremely expensive for the quality. It's like cafeteria food - the rice is overcooked with too much celery, the scallops are overdone, and the vegetables are tough to chew. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.
A very disappointing experience especially after you do the long drive to the area. Pretentious menu, feels old and tired, expensive but not worth it. The place is outdated. Service is slow and inattentive .We reserved a window table (since it was possible to do Our request was ignored and we got a table in a hidden corner under the TV. As for the menu, it made us feel and think of an elederly people's home. Small portions, very ordinary tasting steak, surf and turf consisted of tiny Matane shrimps on a skewer (can you imagine? the shrimps starter we ordered was also mushy untasty Matane shrimps ... the salades were very simple and without freshness. Definitely don't recommend this place.
What a disappointing meal and evening at this restaurant, the place and service felt tired from the beginning and it went downhill from there. Glass of wine at $13, very thin tasting fish soup, simple fumet has more taste than that, a catastrophic fail in a region that prides on its specialties like fish soup. And at $13, it better be up to par. It was not. As hard as it is to describe, they managed to screw up the cuisson of the lobster, I don't know how you manage to pull that off but mine tasted nothing, as if tired as the staff that serves it for $25. The whole ordeal ramped to $75, saved by an impossible to mess up maple sugar spread and thick cream over fresh bread, a regional specialty I love. Worst of 2017, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
Went for supper and food was slow to come and wasn't that good. I had a Matane shrimp plate and the food was like eating mush plus it wasn't even hot. The waitress wouldn't even try to speak English and I am sure that was the trouble. Who cares they are just dumb English tourists. If we don't go there it is a base in her salary. There is a much better restaurant down the road where the food is fantastic and the service is above and beyond. Don't waste your hard earned money there.
Very nice art gallery and gift shop. We stopped for dinner and I had the broiled turbot. It was cooked well and presented well. Definitely worth a return visit. Save room for their bread pudding!
