When I studied the map, three dishes were recommended. I chose lamb-shoulder testing in a wood stove, with bacon beans and roast potatoes to €18.90. A glass was recommended to me (it was too hot weather, therefore only a glass) Merlot. The dark red merlot was soft, tasted a little after plums, had an average acidity of as it turned out during food, very well suited for the main dish. In the further course of my stay I was skillfully surrounded by the friendly service, while every walk was explained in detail. At the end of the meal I was recommended as dessert a roasted ice cream with strawberry banana salad as well as a coffee. The menu is clear, informative and optimal. Special dishes are offered by the wood stove. I chose from the recommendation of the service as main court Lambskin Provencale In the wood stove swollen with bacon beans and roast potatoes '18.90 € and as dessert Fritted ice with strawberry banana salad at 7.90 € I decided to a glass of mineral water at 1.80€ and the recommended Merlot the glass at 4.80 € The service immediately brought into the mineral water, a basket with self-made herbal baguette cuts a plate green of hearty The kitchen started with a giant en bouche free greeting from the kitchen A plate with a small piece of cold delicate roast beef filled with a salad leaf surrounded by fine pepper strips. The lamb shoulder with rosemary filling and a branch of fresh rosemary in the wood oven garnished with a small garlic spiced lamb shoulder provencale, smells me spicy without the garlic (as often experienced unpleasantly, and hated by the excessive use of garlic), or any wood-burning smell rose into my nose. It overwhelmed the scent of lamb shoulders and rosemary. The slightly rugged, tasty skin of the lamb shoulder with its delicate pink meat, in which rosemary was introduced before the rosemary Schmore, was a feeling. The supplements, new young potatoes and fine green beans in the bacon coat (haricots verts) Two cuffs of fine green beans in the Bacon Speckmantel were served with finely chopped bean wort. In the mouth, the small beans were slightly crisp and with the bean wort, which worked well from the bean flavor, and the Bacon Speck were very delicious. The young new potatoes with rosemary were prepared as it is, with a bowl, cut, and were very delicious prepared. The Dessert Dessert speciality of the house Fritted ice cream with strawberry banana salad at 7.90 €. The fried ice was a bomb. Bright and clear, with a freshness, the rooms, tables and their decorations present me so that it adapts to the character of the historic house, offers the guests and their companions a representative ambience. The premises are well suited for festivities. The garden with its beautiful charcoal stove, sink and playground for children is an eyewitness and is visited very well on beautiful days as today. On arrival at 5.30 a.m., about 20 guests from all social classes and age were present at the restaurant, garden and conservatory. Among them were guests who had booked the hotel. The cook, the creative cook and his team at this point, thank you very much. The cook and the team of the house offered me a gastronomic climax without a lot of cubes. Price performance With a total price of 33.40 € I give the entire performance very well. Location The restaurant and hotel is located directly on B58 Street, which leads from Aachen to Monschau. Via Highway 44 (E40) from and to Belgium, exit Aachen and Monschau. It is also accessible by buses.
