Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónDining at this restaurant was happenstance, as my birthday occurred during a planned ski snowboarding vacation at Rusutsu Resorts, Hokkaido. Dinner was supposed to be a low-key affair but ended up not being one whatsoever. First off, let me laud the Westin Rusutsu staff at Kazahana Teppanyaki Restaurant for their superlative service, attention and hospitality. Dinner for myself and my travel companion was truly magnificent. Everything from the appetizers, to intermediate to final courses reflected great care in attention to presentation. The quality of all dishes served reflected the best that Hokkaido has to offer. The King crab as well as the wagyu beef, the maguro sashimi and uni, were superb. Fully realizing that to pull off any memorable dining experience involves the team efforts of many people behind the scene at a restaurant, we certainly would again like to convey our appreciation to the entire staff who worked the evening of January 25, 2018 and made a surprise birthday celebration such a positive and memorable event. One individual who merits additional attention and a Big Thank You would be Mr. Akihiro Kurohata, Teppanyaki Chef extraordinaire. Kurohata-san's demeanor, professionalism, informative explanation of what he was preparing and overall affable personality added so much to such a great meal. We wish Kazahana and the Westin Rusutsu much success in the future and hope to once again cross paths in our future travels.
The service staff at this restaurant were the most disorganized, chaotic, and untrained that I have ever encountered. Dishes would appear at the table only to be taken back to the kitchen without any explanation. One server even placed a bowl of udon in front of my wife and then proceeded to give her two more bowls that were meant for other members of our group. Despite there being plenty of servers around, none of them checked in on us for an extended period of time. It was clear that there was no shortage of staff, but rather a lack of knowledge and training. The quality of the food varied greatly, with the scallop appetizer being excellent while the Hokkaido pork was inedible. Overall, the dining experience was a strange and comically bad one that we will likely reminisce about for years to come.
This meal was one of the most amazing I've ever eaten. It was more than a dinner; it was an artistic creation as well as a cultural experience.
Excellent set menu dinner (Yotei) featuring high-quality ingredients in the dishes. The service was attentive, although slightly understaffed.
This restaurant has a good menu. I strongly recommend ordering from a la cart menu. this is a more diverse selection of means of living. I like braided boar, kinki shioyaki, sukiyaki nabe (without raw egg). even if they have a marriott member number, they can have 15% discount.
