Very charming restaurant run by lovely couple. We have had an apartment in Agde for many years now and this place has been Phil de L'eau for only a few years and although not in the glamorous location of the pontoons sat on the river, the food is far far better than anything on offer there. In particular, the buffet starter with unlimited fresh prawns and salad makes the meal very good value. Exquisite duck breast and a good creme brulé for desert, nice and tasty small French restaurant.
Yes, it 's true, you can get great fish and chips in this charming little restaurant just like in old Blighty. Run by a delightful couple, monsieur in the cuisine and madame serving this treat is available every Friday lunchtime for a very modest sum together with perfectly prepared sauce tartar. The house white wine harmonizes very well but several other alternatives are available from the vast selection of excellent wines the Languedoc-Roussillon area now produces and which the experts choose systematically to ignore. To try is to adopt. This restaurant is on the Herault river and facing a shipyard which means unless you are into boats the view is not great but when you eat here the accent is on the food and the bright nature of the owners.
