If you're feeling adventurous, try the menu on the floating whiteboard; they move it around depending on which table is about to order. I also sampled the rice noodles with a delicious sauce. It came with two sides, and I opted for mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables. Here’s the quirky part: the noodles were served on a bed of mashed potatoes, with the veggies on top like a crown. It was a little odd for me, so I ended up separating them, but the dish was delightful nonetheless. My wife had the panini with goat cheese, which she enjoyed, but she couldn’t resist stealing my spaghetti since she didn’t initially order her own. By the next two visits, she made sure to order the spaghetti for herself. We also tried the coconut flan, which was surprisingly great—even though I'm not usually a fan of flan. The chocolate cake we had was a massive indulgence—rich and delicious, definitely something to share with someone! They offer a small but excellent selection of beers. La Rubia was tasty, but my new favorite is the Maduro brown ale—so good! Also, the coconut rice is fantastic. I’m a rice lover, so it was no surprise I enjoyed it plain as a side. If you're in the area, I highly recommend this place; just be aware that their hours might seem a bit unusual to us mainlanders. They're closed on Sundays and Mondays, and on Tuesdays they close around 3:00 PM. However, they do open for dinner later, although I'm still trying to figure out the exact timing. One last thing: if you sit outside at night, be prepared to fend off mosquitoes! Overall, it’s a wonderful spot to enjoy good food with great service.
This charming little restaurant is located just off Highway 110. The staff speaks both English and Spanish, and the menu is available in both languages. They are very friendly and offer excellent recommendations. I visited with a party of three, and we ordered the Churrasco, Salmon, and Wahoo. Everything was incredibly delicious! Since it’s a small, family-owned restaurant, please be patient and ready to wait. They grow their own fresh mint for the Mojitos, which are fantastic! On Wednesdays, they also offer a 2-for-$20 meal deal. I will definitely return!
For my main course, I ordered the grouper served over mashed potatoes with a side of grilled vegetables. Unfortunately, the fish did not taste fresh; it seemed frozen, then thawed and sautéed, resulting in a mushy texture and a lackluster appearance. The mashed potatoes were decent but a bit bland, and while the grilled veggies were fine, I would have preferred them to be more charred. My husband opted for the breaded pork chop served with local rice and an Israeli salad featuring cucumbers and tomatoes. While he appreciated the dish overall, he wasn't fond of the sweet onion sauce that accompanied the chop. Everything else on his plate was good. For dessert, we indulged in ginger flan and guava cheesecake, both of which were exceptional. I would definitely come back just for the desserts! Our server was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and efficient. She graciously welcomed our feedback about the meal and suggested that we could request different sauces in the future to better suit our tastes. Parking was a breeze; we found a spot right in front of the restaurant. Even though it was busy when we arrived, we were offered seats at the bar while we waited, and within five minutes, we were seated at a table. I’ve attached a picture of the menu to showcase the impressive variety of entrées. There are plenty of options, including a great selection of vegetarian dishes, more than we found at any other restaurant during our five-day stay in the area. This spot is perfect for groups with diverse tastes and food preferences, as it seems like there’s something for everyone.
This is one of my favorite lunch spots in the area! They offer creative daily specials from Tuesday to Friday, and the food on weekends is fantastic. Although they're closed on Mondays, it's definitely worth the wait. I appreciate that they have at least one unique vegetarian dish each day, in addition to their homemade veggie burgers and pastas. My friends love the fish, chicken, and beef dishes as well. The sides are incredible, especially the Quinoa Salad, which is just a step below their delicious white rice and beans! Be sure to check their daily menu on their Facebook page. The service is friendly, but I highly recommend calling ahead to place your order because when it gets busy, the wait can be around 30 minutes.
Everything is wonderful! Dine there, socialize, enjoy dessert, and sip a glass of wine or coffee. It's a great spot where locals gather and welcome tourists.
