Wonderful comfort food at reasonable prices. The server was prompt and friendly. I had the Prime Rib Stacker sandwich. It was tender and tasty with a dipping au jus. This is a truck stop restaurant so you know the food has to be good or they wouldn't last. The warmed apple pie was delicious too. I will return soon.
Well first....as I sat at the counter taking a sip of my ice water , which I came to regret, I watched an employee slide ice out of the bucket with her BAREHANDS...then watched one of the many hairnetless cooks hair blowing around under the cook fans...never again
We were fooled by the 5-star ratings of previous reviewers. If this merits such good reviews, then one might expect the 6:00 hour on a Saturday to present a full house. We found a hand-full of diners, plenty of empty tables and two servers who were both idle. Helen had a fish sandwich with fries. The tomato on the sandwich had a tart flavor; the fries were good, but Helen questioned why hey would include a dinner roll with a sandwich and fries... isn't this a starch overload? I had a broasted half-chicken dinner. It came with a dinner roll, broasted potato, and cole slaw. The slaw was a little too sweet for my taste, the potatoes were wonderful, but the chicken was served on the extra crispy side, It may have been prepared in a heated desicator since there was no juice in the meat at all. But for color, one might argue that it was burned. 5-star, maybe at one time but not on September 8th, 2018. I can't even agree to 3-stars.
I just had a double cheese burger ,,, It was perfect... It was great I tell you with tater tots...
