Great Wall Chinese Takeaway - Allerdale

Tried a few things off the menu and so far it's all been good..

Never damaged it from the outside but the food is lovely and the salt and pepper chips are gorgeous

Had the salt and pepper chicken the food was undercooked the girl at the counter proper snobby took about 20 minutes to make just not a good environment WILL NOT COME HERE AGAIN!

The food I had had a terrible taste . It was either the noodles or gravy . Went straight in the bin . Wont be going again

I’m yet to find a better Chinese takeaway… This has been my go-to Chinese takeaway for over 7 years now, my usual dish is salt and pepper chicken (either with noodles, egg fried rice or chips) The salt and pepper chicken here is, in my opinion, the nicest salt and pepper chicken possible, it literally couldn’t be any better for me. I have tried hundreds of Chinese takeaways all over the UK and I haven’t had salt and pepper chicken that even comes close to Great Wall’s. This takeaway is the stereotypical “not much to look at but they have amazing food” There’s no lights on the sign outside so at night you may miss it, parking is usually easy right outside the door and service is usually quick, especially if you collect. The chips are also lovely from here, they’re proper chip shop chips and they give you good portions. I hope Great Wall carries on the way they are and don’t change anything because “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”
