The New Taqueria La Tapatia - Alvin

The food needs improvement, but it's honestly the bar that brings me back. It's a great spot to grab a drink, chill with a few friends and maybe grab something simple off the menu. The fajitas are typically pretty good.

Sadly, this place has gone downhill. I didn 't want to come because there have been cockroaches, rats, and there was an aggravated robbery inside during business hours. However, my 2 friends wanted to come, so I came anyway. I ordered a plate that I 've ordered 3 times in the past. It came with onions for the first time ever, even though the menu said it did not have them. When I asked the waitress if someone could remove them for me, she told me no, you can do it yourself, with an attitude. Twice. The worst part about this restaurant is the service and cleanliness. The atmosphere is nice and usually the food tastes okay.

Really excited to find this place open for breakfast. Great service. Good food. Good prices. The flour tortillas taste store bought unfortunately, but they are ok. Only other issue is that the last few times I've went in there was a bit of a smell in there (presumably coming from the restrooms), so hopefully they can knock that out. Looking forward to coming here a few more times to explore more of the menu. Update: updating my review! Went for dinner and the smell was gone and the tortillas were fantastic (perhaps they had just ran out on the day I went for breakfast). Great stuff!

I put in an order, and thought it was $30. My card then gets charged $50+.(which didn't make sense) After calculating all my food my total should have been no more than $39. Before our food was cooked and came out, I asked for a refund because the price wasn't matching up and they refused me. They ended up charging me an extra $15 stealing $15 from my card.

Great place to go if you are craving dinner for breakfast. I love the american enchiladas and that is what I get for breakfast every time I go in. The wait staff is extremely friendly and I have never had a bad experience ever. It is a must try if you are ever in Alvin.
