Chinese Home Style Cooking - Ames

You're not missing much if you skip this place. Food's ok, but not worth going back to for. Not the best in Ames, but then again, it's hard to find a good place in this town that's not too expensive.

I love this restaurant! This is by far one of THE best Chinese places in Ames. The owners are always there and will get to know you they're very friendly. The prices are good and the variety of food is really nice. The squid is good. Also, the hand made crab rangoons are the best in Ames you can choose from regular or spicy and they aren't runny like the ones made everywhere else (that's my favorite thing to eat there . : I hope you'll try it and enjoy it!

This is arguably Ames's best Chinese restaurant. It's casual...you order at a counter and the very helpful employees bring your dish out to you in a matter of minutes. They also have interesting specials like rock salt squid that add more variety than your typical Asian eatery. Seating is a maximum of four so you might not want to take a large group there. Take out is also available.
