The Galley - Anderson

I had a fantastic birthday dinner here! All of our food was served hot and was absolutely delicious. Our server, Stephanie, was wonderful as well!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Galley! There were seven of us, ranging in age from 9 to 76, and everyone had an amazing time. We ordered various dishes, and all of the food was outstanding and beautifully presented. The staff was friendly, helpful, and highly professional. Jessica provided us with wonderful service. Big thanks to Dawn and her team. I highly recommend this place, and I also suggest making reservations.

We waited 18 months for this restaurant to open and I decided to surprise my wife on her birthday to what I thought would be a memorable dining experience. It indeed was memorable. First we waited over 20 minutes for someone (anyone) to pay attention to us. Didn't happen until I addressed this with who I believe was a manager. The server (male) that finally showed up made several excuses for the delay but we later found out that he had shown up late to start with. We ordered a glass of wine each which was delivered by a different server. The other server didn't get back to bring a set up until we waved him down and got his attention. At that time we placed our appetizer and entre order. He brought the appetizers but another server brought the entrees a short time later while we watched our original? server deliver (drinks) to several other tables. The food while served at the correct temperature was not necessarily outstanding but decent. We only saw our original server at the end of our meal when he offered a complimentary desert to insure a tip. Not a great experience. Oh, by the way. We did have an early reservation but were seated in a remote corner rather than a table with a view. I did mention initially when making the reservation that it was a special occasion. This restaurant was good before the renovations and the addition of Nami's, but now it’s absolutely fantastic! It has become our favorite spot in the Anderson area. The view of the lake is an added bonus! We definitely prefer this place over the restaurants in Downtown Anderson. It’s worth the drive!

We've been going here since we moved to the lake. We like we can take the boat for a nice evening out on the water. Time it right for a beautiful sunset heading back. I do wish they'd change up their menu, though they do have nightly specials. They combined the sushi restaurant from next door so now they offer a limited menu of sushi. This place gets crazy business, so make sure you have reservations. They did some remodeling during their close down of Covid. They offer outdoor seating as well, which Fall is coming, so I'm sure it will be busy.
