Castaway's Waterfront Grill - Angola

I was super surprised at this venue. It will be a staple for my to-go-to dinner and/ or cocktail spot! Ask for Joe, he’s got a great personality and splits time as a waiter and chef do he knows how to move your food along if needed. Atmosphere is great , food is way better than other water front restaurants around here, and Joe’s service was superior. It was nice to meet Joe tonight, we are lucky to get him as our waiter but will definitely ask for him again. I will say I’m a tough food critic and I am thankful that I am pleasantly surprised here. Good job staff at Castaways.

What a great place! Food, service and beverages were outstanding! Not to mention the sunset!

Went there for the 4th of July. There were 4 of us. We sat at a picnic bench outside. The bartender was super friendly and accommodating. Great place to go to hear music on the beach.

Last night at Castaways, a deeply disturbing incident occurred. An off-duty employee attacked a young woman, and instead of addressing the situation, the bouncer antagonized the victim and her family. No one was able to talk to the owner. When asked to speak to him the staff refused to notify him of the incident at that time. Despite the seriousness of the incident, the staff did nothing to intervene or address the issue. The police were called and talked to the victim. The off-duty employee's behavior was aggressive and completely unprovoked. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, they showed no concern and did not take any steps to ensure the safety of their patrons. This incident has made me question the safety and management of Castaways. I hope the owners take serious measures to prevent such incidents in the future and ensure a safe environment for all customers.

Born and raised a mile away. This is your local watering hole. The bartenders are funny and really make you feel welcome. The food is killer, wings and season fries for days! Definitely worth stopping by!!
