Soooo... I'm now in the '60s. Anyway... stopped at Wisconsin Ave Store yesterday evening (11/01/22) at 5:30/6pm-ish. Order a 1/2 pound burger (plate, no cheese, only meatballs). The guy who took the order repeated it as such. Paid for the sandwich, had to go ahead and wait. When the food was brought out, I checked. Apparently, cheese had on it. Drove to the front, went in at first, it was like the manager that the guy who worked the counter avoids me. (Kid looked at me twice). They finally turned around, I told them about the thing. They said they'd make a new one. In the meantime, the child ordered the ride thru to go, I said to cheese. And then he laughed. In any case, new burgers came out. I opened it to make sure it was right. NOT!!! I ordered to pay for half a money. That was clearly a 1/4 Pounder. Let them know I wasn't a happy customer. Manager says we can do it again?? I said nothing about it, just give me a refund. No offer of (were sorry that), No offer of any kind of coupon card for future use. I went to Calumet to Tom. Order the same! No problem. When the online survey thing today asked about the manager, got "in assistant manager, asked again to speak well with the manager. Asst Managerit was when it wouldn't go on the line. So... I told an assistant what happened. It's pretty sure it's ready. Apparently the lady was an assistant last night. Soooo, the guy I talked to, he was an assistant manager, which he probably had no train to talk to the assistant last night. When you go to Tom's, I strongly recommend that you go to Calumet St. Very, very disappointed about the way that this problem was dealt with in the Wisconsin Ave Store. I will probably never stop recommending this place again. Sad, this place will not last.
The first time here and we are not very local, we decided to drive thru service, courteous staff, delicious food and fast service. We're coming back! We were amazed at the line of cars that showed how we were out. 1:30 in the middle of the week, the line still seemed to move fast.
My brother decided to go here for dinner, and I just have to say that employee and manager wasn't. Respectful and immature attitude in the kitchen. Overheard every word they said and respected my brother when he was eating. From my brothers' order, usually Tom's burgers are always cold, even if they were cooked, he kindly asked them to heat up only in the microwave. But the employee insisted on just overtaking everything? what I don't understand why he couldn't have done it in the microwave to save his time. After my brother got his meal, he heard in the empty restaurant talking about the manager in the most inconspicuous and immature way about my brother to her employees. Tom's staff, you need better and mature, so rude and respectful.
Took an evening walk to Tom?s to get an ice cream cone (something we have done in the past with no issues. and The hours stated they were open until 9pm. Got there and the inside was closed at 8pm but drive through was open. There were no cars so we got in line. We were told we couldn?t be served unless in a car. We will never come back.
