I've never been to such a hospitable place! Well, other than my grandma's house, lol. In all seriousness though this place was fantastic! I had the whitefish, hush puppies, fries, and coleslaw. Great shrimp, fish stew (my boyfriend likes the big bowl only in winter months), steamed oysters (in season), she crab soup, blue crab, and soft shell crab(in summer), But I just have to say that the very best thing is the fish sandwich with Cole slaw. The fish sandwich has a huge piece of fish! It has almost a slightly sweet flavor. Add their home made Cole slaw and it’s even better! I’m from the beach and I’ve never really been a fan of a fish sandwich, until I saw this one on someone else’s plate one night. I add lettuce, tomato, Mayo, Cole slaw, American cheese and if you can’t eat it all, pop the leftovers in the oven. I will have trouble ordering anything else! Oh, the boyfriend also likes the hamburger steak and mashed potato’s with gravy. They also have lunch specials and Sunday specials. They also have a home made chocolate cake with those tiny layers and home made icing. Sometimes it takes a bit, but everything is made to order, and Pamlico county is small so they probably don’t have thirty people working here at once like some large establishments... it’s a great place... not too fancy but good food... with that in mind, just be patient and order the fish sandwich!!! Update, the food here is just as good as it was when I started eating here! The staff is personable and they do a great job! Five stars all over again need more fish stew and chocolate layered cake because it all sells out!

Zero service exists here. Cold food, pile of greese on the plate, and over cooked shrimp. Don't waste your money here. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
