It seemed like the owner, who has an unfortunate appearance, lacked any warmth or hospitality. I used to go out of my way for their fried chicken—it was worth a 40-mile detour. However, after today’s experience, I wouldn’t even cross the street for it.
The chicken was dry, the service was poor, and the plates were dirty. This used to be a regular stop for us every year, but now we go further north. It was much better back in 2008.
The best homemade pies south of Kansas City! The prices are reasonable, and the service comes with a friendly smile. I'm looking forward to trying their Pizookie next time—it sounds delicious!
The food was dry, and the utensils were dirty. I ate there two weeks ago when I was traveling south. The experience felt forced, and I don’t believe the owner, who has a hair lip, has a warm bone in her body. In the past, it was worth driving 40 miles from my home, but now I wouldn't even cross the street to go there.
The best homemade cakes south of Kansas City! The prices were reasonable, and the service was friendly. Next time, I'll have to try her pizookie; it sounds amazing!
