Boru Asia Bistro Sake - Arlington

This was our second visit to Lyon Hall, and this time we brought along some friends! Everything was just as perfect as our first visit. My steak was cooked exactly as I requested and the cheeses were incredibly tasty. The fresh hot bread was a nice touch. They also had some delicious vegetarian options available. Lyon Hall is always a pleasure to visit when we are in DC.

For my main dish, I ordered the croque madame with a roasted egg. The dish was well-executed, with the temperature, texture, and taste all hitting the mark. The egg was perfectly cooked, which is no easy feat. The béchamel was flavorful, but I would have liked a bit more of it. The dish may have been too dry without the runny egg yolk. The salad served alongside the croque madame provided a nice contrast and balanced out the meal. Overall, Lyon Hall provided a classic bistro experience with great service. Our server was friendly, although we had to ask for refills a few times. I would have appreciated a bit more attentiveness from the staff.
