I have had dinner here a few times. More than once have I had a bad service experience. But my family and friends and I return because the food and drinks are good. Tonight, we tried to get in and were turned away because we didn't have a reservation. The hostess said they were too busy. However, most of the dining hall was empty. I was served here when the restaurant was far more full in the past. It's very irritating. Call ahead for a reservation, I guess.
After 3 years vegan and 6.5 plant-based, this fine establishment did not disappoint. Just because I wanted to make sure that I made good use of the experience, I wanted to try it all! Being from Central MA I was excited for the variety of fresh seasonal vegetation. The reviews meant that I would be in for fresh-made food that would not be salty and I’m here for it! Being plant-based means quality food that’s healthy so that we can enjoy cocktails and good wine : We started with the Egg Rolls and Sourdough Bread with Oil. The Lychee Martini was made from a puree and on the sweet side but delicious as ever. Very refreshing! The bread is worth taking home in a paper bag if you don’t finish it. We had some the next day with breakfast eggs and butter. The Tofu Steak and Cauliflower reheats very well the next day and the Mac n Cheese (made vegan by cashew cream is great but I would have liked more seasoning and more sauce. The noodles were cooked to perfection. My great friend enjoyed the quesadilla. It was crisp and flavorful and not too big but enough for one person. The highlights for me are the friendly and the fresh food. I can see some thinking the food is bland but for those who put health first I give it 10 stars. Thanks for taking food to the next level and making great food so we can enjoy a fine meal out with the girls. Thanking my great friend Bryce Lenzen of Kennebunkport for the great meal!
Three of us had the strip steak. All three were tough and hard to chew. 2 out of 3 left over half on their plate. The third left 25%. The green beans were LOADED with onions. YUK !!!! The temperature was freezing The a/c was set too low, causing people to put sweaters or coats on Don't think I will be going back, and we live here year round.
Had a very early reservation but well worth it. Great V and GF options. The Samoan stew at half size was huge and very good. Server was knowledgeable and friendly.
