Hide Seek - Ascona

We went with the family for dinner and enjoyed it very much. We have been some times before but this time was different. The kitchen was good as always but the service was the star of the evening. We could feel the management change in a very positive way. Thank you again for the awesome evening. We'll be back hopefully soon.

We had dinner at the Hide Seek restaurant in the gorgeous Giardino Ascona hotel. The restaurant with its lily pond was one of the highlights of our extended weekend in Ascona – even though the restaurant was well visited, the young service team was very well coordinated and highly professional, taking plenty of time to recommend which wines to pair with our orders and answering any questions we had. We enjoyed every minute of our visit from the moment we walked into the courtyard until we left (we stayed a lot longer than initially intended, because the staff, in particular Stephan, who seems to be the supervisor, made us feel at home and were very amenable . The food and wines the staff recommended were phenomenal!! The menu is very varied (i.e. whether you’re a carnivore or vegan, this is the place to be!! and a lot of detail is paid to the presentation of dishes. We loved the positive vibe and atmosphere at Hide Seek and will definitely be coming back!!

Das Hide Seek ist neben dem Gourmet-Restaurant Ecco das zweite Lokal im Giardino in Ascona. Kreative, asiatisch inspirierte Gerichte werden serviert. Die Vorspeise, eine Kerbel-Schaumsuppe sowie die Seezunge mit feinem Spinat schmeckte ausgezeichnet. Die Nachspeise, ein Erdbeer-Panna Cotta mit Rhabarber war nicht ganz auf dem gleichen Niveau. Freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service.

Wir haben im Hide Seek während unseres Aufenthaltes zweimal gegessen. An unserem Anreiset war Sushi-Buffet mit einer großen Auswahl und sehr guter Qualität. Ansonsten waren die Speisen nichts Außergewöhnliches, für meinen Geschmack hätte die Auswahl noch etwas regionaler sein können.

Aufmerksamer und sehr freundlicher Service, gute und kreative Küche und wunderschönes Ambiente... alles in allem ein wunderschöner Abend mit super Essen : Sehr zu empfehlen!
