Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónWe came as one of our stations from the trolley tour. it was nice to sit on the bar and have a drink to cool off the hot day. we'll try some of the food next time.
If you have the pleasure of visiting while they're serving their seasonal mushroom soup, get 2. Incredible! Food was great and you really can't beat that view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Edison Omni Grove was both wonderful and disappointing. The location is a beautiful room with a beautiful scenery. The service is fast and friendly, call our server James, who was extremely friendly and thus wore a wonderful energy. The menu has a wide selection of dishes and a variety of adult drinks to please your palate. Here is what we have ordered, Nobles seasonal cedar and (forget name) a special drinks take on an old fashion. Nobles Cider, fantastic. The old fashion, my wife immediately ordered another drink, and the Moscow mule loved her. My wife's description of her first drink is that it tasted like chewing on an orange peel. It was immediately exchanged and we were only charged for one drink. The food, the Brussels spits were okay. It is one of our favorite appetizers to order in different restaurants and comparatively it fell quite short. They were slightly undercooked in some bites where we really threw up our chewing to crumble through them. The taste did not come well for us and seemed unmatched, as every bite brought an inconsistent experience of chewing or taste profile. The main dishes: Bison Fleischloaf was great, perfectly cooked and had a wonderful taste. The parsnip and salad leaves, which also came on the plate, lacked taste and spice. I could say with every bite I needed, just a little more of what was in him to really make it seem. The salmon, again perfectly boiled, which we found interesting is that the salmon itself did not seem to be seasoned and exclusively on the pepper jelly for taste. My wife would have preferred more of the pepper glue if it was deliberately the case. The Broccoli side she loved and wished there was more. There was a very nice whistle on her plate that she wanted more. This is where the problem was really for her, is that after her meal and half the appetizer she was still hungry. Our sniffing eyes looked at other diners and compared to the salmon and the meat leaf seemed the most lonely on their plates. It might be something to consider. We chose Dessert because their 3 options have not inspired us. Overall we had a nice time with a decent meal. The price of meals makes a factor in the overall assessment. It is expensive, not unreasonable, although and with the choice options accordingly you can lower the cost. That said with what we ordered, compared to other places we were in the same price class, it fell short. If we lived in the area, we want to try again, as there are moments in these courts that had our attention. We will see, and when we do, I will be sure to update my review.
We sat right next to the porch and the view was excellent. The octopus starter was fantastic. The meat and cheese board was good but 3 different kinds of raisins were served?? It needed more jam. Our table was in the main thoroughfare for the servers and it was only 3 feet between us and the wall. We had a reservation. It was annoying.
Lovely spot at the Grove Park Inn, great for a lunch with a view of the beautiful mountains and the gardens. The food was okay, definitely a lunch or brunch spot. The lamb burger has a massive bun and a small burger with little cheese and filling wished the bread was smaller and the burger bigger for a $20 dollar burger. The Buffalo wings were delicious and a great starter. The salads are large a quite good. The staff must be stretched thin as we waited nearly 30 min just to get the check. Other than that the food and the ambiance was nice !
