This was my second time coming here, and the first time, the girl at the register was super nice, very helpful, and made the whole experience that much better. This second time, the (different) girl was not as nice and seemed to be rushing us a bit. Which is fair, but it did take away from the experience in a small way that my boyfriend probably didn't notice. In terms of atmosphere, the place is just as good as its chicken, with pictures of chickens everywhere, the humanoid chicken handing out menus it's great. My only complaint is that the tall stools in the back, against the front/side windows, are super uncomfortable. The edges dig into your legs, and the stools themselves are kinda small. All in all though, this place gets 5 stars

BEST Spicy Chicken Sandwich EVER!!!! As far as spicy chicken goes this is the best I’ve ever had. There is flavor and spice which is a hard combination to balance but they NAIL IT! The service is great fast and friendly. The atmosphere is definitely in the name. Rocky’s hot chicken shack could use a little sprucing up for sure but the food is awesome. We don’t live local so anytime we go through Asheville, we make it a point to stop on the way out and on the way home. They even have fun discount days. Today was 10% off if you have tattoos, how cool is that? Stay Rocking Rocky’s!
Rude, rude, rude. Management is rude, sarcastic and speaks to you with a demeaning tone. I tried to bring an issue to their attention and instead of being appreciative, they told me that it wasn't going to be fixed. Really bad move. The issue will cost the restaurant a lot of sales. I guess the owner has plenty of money now and doesn't need to worry about lost sales. I am in the business too and if a guest brought a real, unknown issue to my attention, I would be extremely appreciative. And, if I kept getting comments on Google about my rude management and staff, like I have seen in the comments about this restaurant, I would have to clean house and start over. I dont put up with that within my restaurant. I hope the owner starts paying attention to what is going on because if they don't, it might cost them big time. The way things are today, there is not much room to loose customers. Food was ok at best.
It's counter ordering so I didn't rate the service. Very good fried chicken, I got the Rockies hot and it was a little spicy.
