Lorella - Ashland

Excellent meal. fresh organic ingredients, large portions and innovative menu. that eat lives up to its description. only slight errors were that the tagliatelle was too thick. the filling was incredible.

We were three times in lorella last year and very enjoyed every visit. I have always got a pasta dish that varies because the restaurant uses locally produced and available products. others have ordered the fish or meat dishes — all reports at our table were delicious. two caves: it took a bit of time to get our meal – probably because the kitchen prepares everything before location, but they must factor in 1.25 or more hours for dinner to be sure when they go to the theater or concert. secondly, the weeping list is quite expensive, and we have not been thrilled with the by the glass choices: options limited, they seem never to have the rose, although it is listed on the menu (there are some large local roses in our opposite) some extensions of the decisions in this department would be appreciated. lorella has become one of our recommended choices to dinner in the city.

Maybe this place is good every night of the year. but our experience was quite terrible. they had run out more than half the ordered items – but were we told before the order? No. it took almost an hour when we sat down to get some informal toast that we demanded - because the children were starving.) the couple sat next to us but was on the second course when we were waiting for the starters. and when it came. stodgy pasta with puréed squash and no taste, tasteless basic super basic iron steak. an apfelgalette that someone has to tell the waiting staff how to announce this word) was cold, day-old baked with thick beats of caramel. the waitress had “no idea” about the bottle we chose, and did not offer to find someone who did it. One of the restaurant managers tried to explain that they were more busy when they expected, and their chef was on holiday. and yes, they gave us a free dessert, but then accused us twice for an apologizing they would run out! I wish I could be more generous, but this was the perfect storm of bad quality eating and terrible service. I hope that they will seriously consider what went wrong tonight, because it was not only our table, but several others who had similar experiences.

Lorella is a gem! cocktails were savvy and presentation was immaculate. menu is the perfect size we shared four teller and everything was delicious. the personal chose a fantastic bottle of wine for the occasion; the prices were super reasonable. the ambiente is covered, but stylish. highly recommended for everything, from casual eating to special occasions.

Loved it. Cool space. Great creative food. We had halibut and stuffed delicata squash followed by chocolate creme brûlée. Definitely go back.
