Gelato Factory - Auroville

I highly recommend every vegan to visit this place. For the first time in India, I felt like vegans also have options for ice cream! They offer a variety of vegan ice cream flavors that are very smooth and creamy. Additionally, they have a few board games in their ice cream parlour, so you can enjoy your ice cream with friends for an hour or so.

I have visited this restaurant several times while staying in Auroville. The owners are very friendly and even showed me how they make their authentic Italian ice creams. The charming shop is a fun place to sit and chat, with bright colors and a clean space featuring glass tables. In addition to their delicious ice creams, they also serve food.

They offer a wide variety of gelatos at this restaurant, with the main branch located in Auroville and another branch in White Town, across from the Richmond Hotel. I particularly enjoyed the fig and walnut, chickoo, and chocolate gelatos, as well as their rich hot chocolate. The chocolate flavor was truly impressive.

Amazing gelato very close to gelato that you get on streets of Italy! Sometimes it's closed unpredictably during off-season but always worth popping that side to give it a scoop!

Really good mix of ice cream flavours, fairly cheap prices. Loads of seating and a nice selection of magazines to read too.
