ABER: Unfortunately, I was treated completely unfriendly today!! I have already reserved a table for 14 people for the first Christmas day in November, this has also been confirmed by email! We would have been 10 adults and 4 children!! My proposal, two weeks in advance, à la carte our food requests, was not possible!! 3 or 4 years ago you could order à la carte with 12 people! With today's very unfriendly (almost arrogant) phone call I was told that Christmas of 10 people ONLY there is a 3-course menu for 59,95€, appetizer and dessert given and at the main dish there are only three to choose! I wanted to talk to my family and report back to Sunday (today Thursday)!!! Since I could not say immediately and was apparently too "complicated" for my conversation partner (it was probably the boss), my reservation was simply canceled by email! Thanks for nothing! Too bad you seem to have no wish for a big family that would certainly have consumed and implemented enough (it may be that it didn't have to)! I am more than disappointed!!!
Why does the entire staff not wear oral noses in this contagious coronary period? That never happened to me in the gastronomy in SH.
The suggestions for the 4-course menu with the corresponding wines for thirty people were professional and have been fun. The food was very delicious, the service was friendly and attentive to the last minute, perfect. All our guests are thrilled. For the two toddlers there was even a small railway. The baggage at the bar rounded off the festival. Time and again!
I only know the Gambero wine bar as a restaurant, as it is when you sit at the bar and drink wine, I cannot judge. The greeting is always friendly, hardly that you have entered the door. You are asked if you have a table to book, if yes, you will be led to the beautifully covered table, if not, will be tempted to pick up one even somewhere (there is also a conservatory and a terrace. So it can be stopped. Only one (small Manko: With full capacity of the restaurant it can be quite loud. I cannot say whether this is due to careless guests or lack of sound insulation. The beautiful menus are handed over by a very accommodating service, with an exhibition with the recommendations of the day. As a greeting to the house we served crispy bread with herbal lace. My friend and I agree with the choice of dishes as always: on a warm July evening we decide for “Insalata di Rucola con verdure grigliate”, hot rocket salad with grilled vegetables, buffalo mozzarella, parmas ham and Balsamico vinaigrette at €13.90. For this we drink Weissburgunder 0.2 l to 7 €. As dessert we choose baked yogurt with roasted nuts and fresh fruits at 7.90 €. The espresso at the end beats with €2.50. (I came the idea of ordering this dessert three times the next time, and nothing else... Conclusion: everything above all! The prices not only promise a bargain, but the dishes are worth their money. At first glance, it seems as if it is about hard-dosed meals, but it deceives, the plates / shots are deeper than they appear and we are also richly saturated this time as we leave the Gambero again. For us, the Gambero is one of the best restaurants in Bad Schwartaus and surroundings after several visits without objections.
We visited this local mid October 2017. it was very full and accordingly very loud. Apparently, the operation is only intended for sales: what does not happen?! for this they forget the drinks order, three different drinks were probably too much. our food was so good, eating under the sauce drowned. the desired dessert tastefully ok. overall we promised more. the loudness on this evening as well as our received eating will stop us from visiting this locally one more time.
