The restaurant offered a good choice of meals, ranging from pizza to pork belly. We opted for their stone oven pizza because we were so tempted when they came out to other diners. The pizza was the best I have eating, good selection of toppings and extra requests easily accommodated. The service was friendly and professional. Will definitely be going there again.
Just finished eating an amazing dessert tasting plate. This review is going backwards...dessert first. With a botytis reisling. Shared a massive tasting plate of yummy choc mousse with turkish delight, mini black forest cake, strawberry Ice cream/ gelato and a delux sticky date pud. More tokay and port to finish. Massive is the key on these desserts. Thought they would be half serves for the price... $23 but no! Looked like four full serves! So i had the pork dish for the main, which was pretty good for Ballarat. My man had the eye fillet with mushroom ragout. The mushroom flavour had well penetrated the sauce. We had a bottle of taltarni shiraz with our mains which was pretty yummy. A great part of our evening out was our waiter/maitre de/barman was very attentive, efficient, friendly and professional.
We are regulars here, so from wood fired pizzas, the Lane special is a ripper, to the tasting plate, sensational or the seafood pasta. And ask for their specials to discover something a bit different the chefs honing their skills on.
So hard to write a review for this place, as one was great experience one was not.
