Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónAroma of India has been our favourite place to go for Indian in Ballarat for years. Good value and service. However, I really wish they would not have the over powering and highly scented incense sticks burning when people are eating in which has been an added thing to their restaurant in recent months. As an Asthma sufferer it has triggered off an attack the last two visits until me realising after last night's visit it's their insence that set my asthma attacks off. We would still like to enjoy dining in Aroma, but unfortunately wont be able to continue doing so if they have the overwhelming strong perfume/insence in their restaurant.
Delicious! We ordered at about 5pm through uber eats and it took about an hour, which we expected due to previous reviews. We got the goat Rogan Josh, goat Madras, lamb korma and chicken tikka masala. All were delicious, complex and balanced. Definitely will be eating from here again!
Awesome food ,Curries and Breads are outstanding.Best service and beautiful place!! One of the best Indian restaurant in town!! Go for it!!
The decor is a little plain and the waiter (assumedly the owner) appears slightly rushed but don't let these dissuade you from a great little Indian restaurant. I opted for the onion bhaji to start, followed by the chicken tikka masala accompanied by garlic naan, and mango lassi to drink. The entree came out reasonably quick, though oddly I did not receive my lassi (despite a tray of them facing me in the fridge) until my main had arrived. The bhaji was a tiny bit overcooked but not burnt and was enjoyable. 5 pieces were more than I was expecting and I'd suggest this as a shared entree rather than for one. The Tikka was fantastic, spiced well, the chicken juicy and the naan hot and fresh, with delightful little chunks of garlic among the lavish spread of butter. Would certainly be heading back!
The food itself was quite delicious, but a banquet for 2 wasn't it. Most of what was listed was not served what was served were small portions. The chicken of butter hardly had a chicken that the safron rice tasted like onion and that was with it except the occasional klove in which you would bite. And the desert 3 tiny ball things....3 for 2 people. Two samosas a few casual sauces. We cook Indians at home. We enjoy our Indian food. Our experience was not disappointing. Too bad they also seemed like beautiful people
