Costa Coffee - Ballymena

Called in mid morning with a friend for cuppa. Ordered a scone which I asked to be heated. Cutting through the scone it was very tough and certainly wasn't fresh, so disappointing as I couldn't eat it. The coffee shop itself was so cold and the fact that the wide cups aren't warmed, my tea was cold before I had half of the cup drunk. Costa need to up their game as there's plenty of other place to get fresh food and hot beverages.

Went in today for coffee and traybake but ended up only coffee as witnessed 2 flies (not tiny flies but normal size flies) crawling over all the uncovered buns/tray bakes. Glad I seen it as easily could have come along when flies had moved on and wouldn’t have known. Informed staff but nothing seemed to have happened. Then while having coffee at table fly was flying around same fly/different fly? I’ve no idea but I did leave wondering why a coffee shop in Oct has flies and not just one? Really off putting and yet rest of coffee shop nice with lovely coffee and nice seating area.

I visit this restaurant frequently and I absolutely love their coffee. The staff is very friendly. My only issue is that the service can sometimes be a little slow.

I went out with a friend expecting to have a warm drink and sit down. The customer service was okay at first, but we were served by a young girl with brown hair in a ponytail who made our white hot chocolates that turned out to be cold by the time we sat at the table - very disappointing. The presentation of the drinks was terrible and I would feel ashamed to serve them to anyone. Additionally, the restroom seemed neglected, with a wet floor that made me almost slip, and dirty tissues in the sink. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and I will not be returning to a Costa coffee shop if this is the level of service they provide.

I ordered a white hot chocolate, but it was served cold and tasted like water. It was extremely bland and not worth the high price of £3.40.
