Very good Chinese food. Star-K hechsher. Friendly staff. Veal entries are great, that and Steak Cubes with basil are my favorites.
Worn restaurant with standard Chinese/American menu and nothing outstanding. Food is fresh, staff is friendly, service is quick.
Growing up, my family would come home with david chu’s sometimes and i would get so excited!! we didn’t have it often because it’s about an hour drive but it really made a family dinner better!!
If you follow a Kosher diet, this may be a suitable place for you to eat. However, if you don't have dietary restrictions, you would likely find better Chinese food elsewhere. It's possible that many of the reviews here come from individuals with limited dining options because of Kosher laws, which might skew their opinions. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with my dinner. I ordered Peking duck and crispy eggplant, and it cost nearly $80 just for those two dishes. The Peking duck was among the worst I've ever had. It seemed like they either overcooked a roasted duck or reheated an older one. I've never encountered Peking duck meat that was so overdone it appeared charred and was extremely dry. The skin was also dry, lacking flavor, and tasted stale. Even the pancakes were thick and resembled steamed flour tortillas rather than the traditional thin ones. As for the crispy eggplant, I was uncertain if it was initially crispy but it was drenched in a sweet brown sauce that made it soggy. I apologize for the poor quality of the photos as they were taken once I returned home. Overall, it was a disappointing meal, and I won’t be returning.
