Hardee’s - Bamberg

The burgers appear to be old and often have hard bread. The cheese doesn't even look melted. Occasionally, I am able to get a fresh burger by requesting unique ingredients.

This restaurant is not just your typical fast food joint - they also offer table service where they assign you a number and bring your food directly to you. Conveniently located in the heart of Bamberg, with easy access in and out, there is plenty of on-site parking available as well as a drive-thru for quick bites. The menu is similar to other Hardee's restaurants and while the service may be a bit slow due to the same person handling both orders and deliveries, the small dining room is cozy and welcoming. Overall, there is a charming, down-home feel to this place.

I stopped by this restaurant on my way home in Georgia from South Carolina because I was really craving a strawberry shake. When I received my order, I was disappointed to find that the shake only filled half of the cup, with the other half filled with whipped topping. It may have looked pretty, but I didn't pay almost $5 for whipped topping. Feeling let down, I dumped the whipped topping on the pavement and drove away without causing any issues. Despite my disappointment, I still ate the half-full milkshake cup.

Sadly, there aren't a lot of restaurant options in the small time where I live, so it's a real pity that the Hardee's in my area doesn't try to up it's game and serve the decent quality, familiar, comfort food it advertises on its menu. I have been to other locations where the same menu items are just better and fresher tasting than they are at this location. I guess when customers are starved for choice, anything goes. Having said that, so far the biscuits and gravy are a safe bet at the moment, the coffee however, not so much! And forget about the hot sliced meat sandwiches all together!!!! This location has plenty of room for improvement and it can only improve their current customer traffic!! Parking: Decent ingress and egress, and generous parking available.
