La Table Du Marche - Bastia

The person who greeted us was pleasant. The waiter was horrible. He was rude and obnoxious. The food was below average and it was very expensive. An embarrassment to French restaurants everywhere especially in France.

A special dinner with special friends, a delightful meal was had by us all, Marche certainly lives up to its well earned reputation .Taking the formula meal keeps the cost down, I had 6 oysters, fish and creme brûlée for 30 euros which represented good value for a restaurant of this caliber, highly recommended

Enjoyed a fantastic meal here. We both had seafood dishes scallop risotto and sole meurnière and each was excellent, well prepared and flavoursome. Nice desserts too! The service was great too, as is the location on the Place du Marché, which is fun and vibrant in the evening!

We walked past many restaurants that may have been of a similar standard, but this restaurant had tables overlooking a very pleasant square, so we decided to eat here. The waiter recommended a Cap Corse as an aperitif and it was delicious. There was a fresh fish counter and we ate extremely well, choosing from the specials board We enjoyed our dinner so much, that we returned two days later. Highly recommended . PS If you need a taxi, ask the restaurant to order one for you, unless you need some exercise after a fine dinner.

Recent trip to Corsica saw us in Bastia for a couple of nights. We had a very pleasant evening. Busy and pretty professional set up. Son had an excellent mushroom risotto and I enjoyed a good sole meuniere, served with some panache. Good dessert list and nice wine list. Recommended,
