Looking towards the kitchen, we were met with an unappealing sight—dirty appliances and a hand washing station that appeared to have never been used during our visit. Additionally, we were troubled by the hibachi chef’s hygiene practices, as he used the same utensils to prepare both raw chicken and beef, raising serious concerns about cross-contamination. As for the food itself, it was merely mediocre, and the staff was terse and unfriendly. Overall, this was hands down the worst hibachi restaurant I have ever encountered.
The rolls were tasty, but the Philly roll, which was advertised as smoked salmon, actually contained raw salmon. My husband removed the raw part and ate the rest. I considered sending it back, but he insisted I shouldn’t. As for the fried rice, it was just rice with soy sauce, and I wouldn’t order it again. However, both the shrimp tempura roll and the California roll were very good.
Typically, this place is excellent. However, perhaps due to the time of day, around 4:15 PM, the seaweed on the sushi was tough to chew and needed to be soaked longer. The gyoza had dry edges and was overly greasy. The cheesecake appeared to have been microwaved to thaw, resulting in a wide end that was ice cold and a thin end that was melting. Overall, this visit was disappointing. I hope for a better experience next time. On a positive note, the service was very good. Service: Dine in.
This is definitely my favorite restaurant! The atmosphere is amazing, and the dinner-and-show experience at the grill is always a great time. I love catching the egg too—it's so much fun! Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30
