We tried Popeye's Chicken for the first time this year. Boy have we been missing out on some good chicken! I don't understand why they don't have root beer as a fountain drink choice or orange they have some type of strawberry soda that I'm sure doesn't sell well. I've tried their mashed potatoes and the Cole slaw both delicious. Their biscuits are really good, too. The only problem we have had is understanding the staff at the Columbia Rd. Location in Battle Creek. While they are all professional, they have thick accents. I was a teacher for 30 years so I'm pretty good with accents, but I struggle to understand a couple staff members. We have returned and eaten there a few times. We get the mild chicken acid reflux dictates mild. We will definitely be back for more chicken!
Can't give a zero stars wish I could.... I have never tasted a chicken sandwich so bad in my life. Stopped at the one at 91 Columbia Ave. in Battle Creek , Michigan and me and the husband were so disappointed that it made us decide NEVER to stop at a Popeyes again. The only thing we got was one classic chicken sandwich and 1 spicy chicken sandwich. I took a bite and couldn't bite through it. It was so thin and fried to a crisp. My husbands was the same way and was plain not spicy. I took it back it and the manager had them make another one and it was exactly the same way! Nope never again, I'm not a McDonald's person, but even theirs at least looks like a chicken sandwich. Unbelievable they would serve something like this. Good luck to the next person that orders from there! Here's some pictures of the first and second chicken.
This is one of the worst Popeyes experiences I have ever had. My friend and I went there on 7/26/22 in the evening (around 6:00pm). Normally, I love Popeyes food; however, this particular location needs serious help.I ordered the five piece chicken strips meal, fries with a biscuit and drink. Once we got back to my friends house to eat, which was maybe 10 minutes away, we ate.The chicken strips, at least two of them were undercooked. I had to instantly spit them out and gave the rest to my friends dog. The fries tasted like they were at least four hours old and cold. The biscuit could have passed as a hockey puck. Not only all of that, their menu board was broken and they had menus printed out and placed on their counter. Apparently it has been like that for a long time according to my friend. This place either needs new management or to just be shut down. If you are in the Battle Creek area and want some good chicken, there are plenty of other places to go. Avoid this one all together.
Went through drive thru and the person taking my order couldn't understand my order. I ordered two chicken sandwiches with a small Mac& cheese and a small Cajun rice. Had to repeat order 4times. When I received my order I checked my bag... and yes she screwed it up. I had to have them fix my order because the cashier did understand English. I do not blame her for the poor training she received.
