Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónFirst time and more than likely last.Wednesday evening 7:00pm.Atmosphere:Louder than expected. Understandable for the size of the establishment and proximity of the tables.Service: Server was pleasant and personable, the food was slow. Approximately 40 min between appetizers and main course. Nothing special in the orders.Food:Ordered the Prime Rib (medium rare), Snapper, Trout Almandine,, and the fried green tomatoes appetizer as an entree.Prime rib was Rare, cold and raw all the way through. The Snapper filet still had the skin on and was burnt on the other side that was buried in the creamy seafood coating. When I uncovered this and scraped the edible portion off, I displayed this mistake on the plate so as to subtly inform the server. I was told “I know what you are going to say” and that was it.My fault for not being clear on this, but nothing was done to ensure our experience was improved. This review is literally my first one on this forum. I don’t expect perfection. I do expect when mistakes are made (food served cold or obviously over cooked) it is acknowledged and corrected.Good luck
One of my favorite places to eat in Bay St. Louis. Outstanding atmosphere and service. Cocktails are awesome as is the food. Highly recommend!
This is by far the best meal I’ve had in the Mississippi gulf coast and I’ve been to every restaurant down here. Very few New Orleans restaurants even compare. I was there with my wife who made the choice after driving past it several times this last trip and we were so glad we stopped. The staff was great from the GM to the waitress and Chef Jason’s new twist on the Pittsburg filet with shrimp and crabmeat seemed a little busy at first but every piece was unique and flavorful. I will absolutely become a regular here every time I come visit the area.
The staff was great, drinks were good, a little pricey but made up for it in strength so good job! Downfall the steak had very little flavor, came not cooked as requested. The rack of lamb was...I don't even know how to describe it, but very over seasoned, all you tasted was the seasoning after the fact. I didn't receive my side and had to wait forever to ask where it was because I had no idea the waitress was. Finally comes out and was crunchy and seemed to be like peeled on the outside and the seasoning was just not good. Overall not a good experience and should have known from the start when we received cold bread that was pretty much pre-made oven bread but could have been prepared better at home. I hope this review helps because the ones I read set me up for a disappointing night and I can not believe I just payed for the food I did. I have had better quality at a chain restaurant.
Based on reviews and recommendations we were really looking forward to our night at Field’s. Unfortunately it was a real disappointment. Our mixed drinks were small with hardly any liquor. My Old fashioned looked like kool-aid and when I asked if they used a mix for the drink the waitress quickly curtly responded No! Very overpriced mixed drinks. We gave the waitress feedback on the drinks for future customers and she said if we ordered another they would put more alcohol in it!!! What????Decided to try wine and was told my selection was not available but the wine that was $5 more per glass was available. I reluctantly said ok and the wine glass came back with unusually small amount of wine. Very odd.The 2 appetizers were disappointing as well. Blue crab Augratin appetizer $23) was extremely cheesy and hardly any crab and served with bread that ranged from rubbery to extremely hard. The lobster bisque was tasty but for $15 served in very small bowl.We decided to end the meal there and not order any entree based on what we had already experienced. There was a manager on site but never made himself available to check on any of the customers. Our waitress was mediocre at best.I never leave bad reviews but this experience was probably the worst ever in our 50+ years of eating out!! I hope it spares someone else having a bad restaurant experience like ours.
