Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Cracker Barrel is one of those restaurants that never seems appealing at first, but I’m always pleasantly surprised when we go! The food is consistently good, and I appreciate that they offer healthy options as well. The prices and service are excellent too! My favorite part has to be the store – there are so many wonderful things to browse. Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner

The food was decent, but I was taken aback by the manager's rudeness towards the elderly cashier. She had to get up from her chair to assist with a manager override because there were problems with the card reader today. The manager told her to call a specific number next time she encountered issues, which was quite frustrating, especially when we didn't have time to wait for that. Given that she was aware of the problem, it would have made sense for her to be at the cashier's station to help out. Overall, the food gets a 5.

If I could give the service a zero, I absolutely would. I waited an eternity for the waitress, and I had to ask for several things multiple times. The steak was extremely bland, while everything else was just okay. The mashed potatoes tasted more like crushed biscuits. Service: Dine-in, Meal type: Dinner.
