My husband got one of the biggest steak salads I've seen. And I got the homemade pizza which was delicious.
I wanted a calzone but was told it would take 30 mins. We both got spaghetti and meatballs, and it was awful. Tasted like they opened a can Hunts and poured it on. No spice, nothing. The Italian bread was old and dry. Completely disappointed, our bill was about $36
I love small town bars and diners, but here are my issues with this place:1) They claim to have remodeled their dive bar; but the interior is pretty bland, and I 'm guessing I would have liked it more pre-remodel;2) Some people seem to want to make everything about politics, and I just don 't think bars are a good place for the partisan politics of the day. This place has been around for a long time and apparently doing fine, so far all I know they don 't even want new customers. But I just miss the days when you could walk into a neighborhood joint and not immediately get hit with signs disparaging half the people in the country. I 'm not saying they shouldn 't be able to do whatever they want to in their own place. I 'm just saying that sort of FU attitude is not for me.
Nice place to get together for drinks and fun. They even treat you decent when everyone in the place doesn't like you! Love you Leslie G!!?
