Grill68 Steakhouse - Beaverton

Wedge salad was served in a hot bowl that seemed like it just came out of the dishwasher. Very weird. Steak frites were tasty. Too much bitters in the old fashioned. Server was nice. Small flies everywhere were off-putting for a higher end restaurant.

Was worried when we arrived as there were no cars in the parking lot. Worried more when we walked in as only two tables were occupied. I don't understand why this place isn't maxed out. The service and food was amazing. Everything, appetizers, salad, steaks and sides were so delicious. Alex, was the host, server and bartender. Don't lose that guy. Couldn't get in to Jory, lucky for us.

We came to celebrate a friend's birthday. We arrived to a beautiful table set for our group but an otherwise empty restraunt. Granted it was 7:15 on a weeknight, but we still anticipated a more lively atmosphere. We saw the prices online before we arrived and were excited for an experience and food that were on par with the pricing. The cocktails were great. The service was ok, not terrible and not exceptional (which is part of what you would expect at the price point). I ordered a ribeye. Keep in mind, this place claims to be a steakhouse, of which, I have been to many. Honestly, I've had better steaks at Applebee's. It was tough, full of gristle and the presentation was not impressive at all. It was literally just a slab of meat on the plate. No garnish, no effort, just meat on a plate. A few of the others in the group were also equally disappointed. I think the place has potential but they gotta do better if they expect to command these prices.

Had a lovely, quiet meal with excellent service. Ordered a small Caesar salad, New York steak with mushrooms, and a side of mashed potatoes, uniformly well-cooked. Good wine with dinner, a caparinho cocktail to start--wonderful dining experience. This is definitely on my short list for good food spots.
