The service was excellent. Always there by your side at just the right time. As a John H restaurant you would think that the steaks would be great, but they were good, not great. Drinks were good! Dessert was excellent. Appetizers were delicious. The reason for my 4 star review was overpriced steak that was nothing special.
Last night was my first and the last visit to this restaurant. The biggest problem with Seastar is that every dish we ordered were not tasty at all. The rice in the sushi rolls didn’t have the right texture. The shrimps in the hot and sour soup were way overcooked. The soup tasted funny. It seems that the chef had no clue about how to cook Asian food or fusion food at all. The diver scallops and the seafood jambalaya were mediocre. I am okay with overpaying a little bit if the food tastes good. But last night’s food were so disappointing, we didn’t even finish half of them. Avoid this restaurant if you are looking for some good fine dining experience.
Service/food is good. lachs bauch appetizer is our favorite. jambalaya is more generous part and nw shell onepot is very good and not oversalted as most places
Our server sidney was great, very attentive and professional we loved eating that we had the grilled oktopus and scallops delicious! will definitely go back
