Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThis restaurant is now called only "Le côte". The food and the service were very good. The portions were also satisfying but the prices were a bit high. We had a 5 service plan bought on an internet site so the price was lower than we would have paid at the restaurant. Although we ate well, the choices of the plan were very limited. The chaires were also not that confortable, they were too soft and we had the presence of a wooden bar Under the legs. Arrive early to find a parking space near the restaurant.
On first approach we realise parking is a problem,as only on street parking is available. With all the restaurants in the area there`s a lot of competition for the few parking spaces.Steaks were good, but not great nor terrific.service was good.Prices too high for what we received.Crème Brûlée for dessert was not a true Crème but some kind of pudding.I'm finding that a lot lately.
We went there for diner with friends on Monday of the Thanksgiving Weekend. To start with, the dining room was not fully occupied, but they had to scramble to find a table for our party of four. It felt like we were unexpected and our arrival was disturbing their routine of things. All along, the service was minimal, and so were the food portions. The side dishes were ridiculously small. My smoked meet sandwich was served with more bread than meet, with about a sliced up quarter of a dill pickle, and a tiny bit of coleslaw. One of us had a steak, which also left him hungry after the meal. Surprisingly, for a steak house, the only decent dish was the salmon ordered by one of our friends. I ordered a Chianti wine from their wine list which was specially marked as their sommelier's recommendation, only to be told they were out of it. Instead, the server suggested another wine in the same price range, which however turned out to be not as good, and maybe a couple of years past it's prime. I have the feeling, we were served a bottle of wine which they needed to get rid of, and for this they pretended to be out of the popular choice. For a restaurant in this price range, we would have expected a more friendly service, and a better quality of food with more generous portions. We went to this restaurant because we remembered it's good reputation from years ago, but it has been a very disappointing experience this time.
Went on a weekend evening. Street parking in the neighboring streets is not easy to find but not impossible either. There was plenty of tables when we arrived. Our waitress was friendly and our orders were taken promptly. I had the fish and chips which was okay. 3 reasonably-sized pieces of fish that tasted good. I also found in the plate a piece of fried seafood (crab?), mushroom and red pepper. I found it was an odd addition but nothing wrong either. Overall it was a quite uneventful supper. The food was good and the prices were in range of what I would expect. Would recommend if you are around and looking for Canadian food.
Had dinner with a customer who lives in the vicinity of this restaurant. The menu seems overpriced for what you get. Since this is a steakhouse, I ordered a rib steak. It was not at all to par with other comparable proced restaurants. They wer out of the wine we ordered from their list, so we were offered a more expensive wine instead. Overall the food was decent, but far from great.
