Chatham Street Cafe - Bentleigh

4 of us had dinner here. Delicious food and friendly service. Lovely local restaurant. Will definitely be back.

An awesome restaurant with great food and ambience. Staff very gracious and kind.

The entrees were excellent but then we waited for a long time for mains. It turned out the waiter didn't put through the rest of the order. They were very apologetic and offered us drinks while we waited. I should not have assumed the drinks were offered on the house, as it turned out the additional juices added substantially to the bill. Our main courses were a little overcooked. Then the live music started. The band was good but so loud that the sound was distorted and painful to listen to. They turned it down a little on request but still very loud. While the staff were kind and caring, our experience wasn't great and we would probably not return.

Good environment, friendly service, great menu choices and really decent food and at affordable prices. Will be back.

Surprisingly good! The wagyu burger was juicy and fresh, caramelised onion inside was the highlight! The kale and quinoa salad was the best I have ever had. Service was great too. Also kids friendly.
