Great place to hang with friends, lots of space, and good music hour. I recommend this place for anyone. The food was also really good! The BBQ was the best I have had in Bakersfield so far. Also the drinks were amazing! Shout out to the bartender for knowing how to make my special drink orders!!!!
This place is next door to the Quality Inn and provides the hotel's free hot breakfast. Unfortunately, the breakfast is run by someone who takes herself and her job way too seriously, and is none too pleasant about it. We stayed at the hotel and were given vouchers for the breakfast buffet in the morning. In the morning, while my wife was finishing getting ready to go, I went over to get an orange juice and a coffee for my wife before we ate breakfast together. The instant I walked in the door, this horrid woman started in on me, demanding that I give her my voucher, before I'd even taken a couple steps inside. I showed her my voucher and tried to explain to her that I just wanted a juice and coffee for now, and that my wife and I would be back for the breakfast in a few minutes, so I didn't want to give up my voucher yet. She was very hostile about it, got in my face, and said I must give her the voucher or leave. I went back to the hotel and complained to the hotel manager about the awful treatment at this restaurant. They gave me a couple extra vouchers to appease The Breakfast N I went back and the N was right back in my face again as soon as I walked in. I gave her one of the vouchers, got my juice, and left. The breakfast buffet looked mighty ho-hum to me, and neither my wife nor I wanted to go back to such a horrible, hostile place, so we went down the street to Denny's for a much nicer breakfast, with much nicer people. I would never go to this business again, nor would I stay at that hotel again as long as their free breakfast means having to deal with such an unpleasant person running the buffet.
Don't eat the continental breakfast. It's not much to beign with. The only hot food was sussage and scrambled eggs. They where both almost empty. There was no fresh coffee. There was a toast station that dirty and a ceral station. But the milk was sitting in a container of water, the ice had melted. The eggs where questionable and you could taste the fake butter used to cook. Unless you have to I suggest driving down the road, there's an ihop and Denny's and a few small town dinners.
OK so the one star is for the organization of the event and also the BBQ. This evening was a comedy show which was absolutely awesome!!! 10 Stars for the comics!!! As for food, sorry Brooklyn you totally missed the mark. I got the pulled pork and rib combo. This came with a brown tented salad and mashed potatoes. The pulled pork was flavorless, barley any smoke and need a better rub. The bbq ribs had way to much salt in the rub. SO much I only took one bite and that was enough. The plate which cost $20 was too expensive for the product you received. The bars tenders were awesome super friendly and mixed some great drinks. Getting into the place took 15 minutes in line as when they had to show each person where the tables were located. Need a better system in getting your customer to their seats. Cool place and hope the owners get it together with the Food and getting you in.
