The crispy potatoes went well together. I also had a coffee that was perhaps the best tasting coffee I ever had in Berkeley. The price was a little higher than I would prefer, but I went hungry and went full and I enjoyed the meal.
Great interiors and good coffee. But the music was too loud, and the service felt something... artificially enthusiastic/plastic.
Nice place, okay to bring kids to lunch, but still manages to have a dinner for adults and drinks at night. I think it's hard to reach! I liked the hash for breakfast, and I liked the oyster option in the evening. Good wine list. We had a pasta dinner with pork that was very good.
Everything we tried was very delicious. Many unique flavors, but it works everything. The staff is friendly and at the top. Absolutely come back.
I'm always on the lookout for good work cafes, and Western Pacific fits the bill! It's gorgeous inside, and the pastries (though somewhat limited) are superb, and it's in a fun location. I tried the chai, which was a bit more bitter than I'm used to, but also mild and tasty. Only downside is that there isn't a ton of seating (Berkeley students obviously like to post up here) and parking is tough and very expensive in Downtown Berkeley.
