Alford Arms - Berkhamsted

Nice pub for drinks and food. Many outdoor seating. Some under deck and some under trees. Very quiet and quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Service was good and food was great. We both had the lamb. I prefer mine on the bone, but not everyone does and it was still good. Good place to land after a long walk. Pretty garden.

I recommend this pub for food. The roasting is one of the best and the desserts are also good! The staff was friendly and efficient and we felt not too eager despite the fact that it was busy when we arrived. Would definitely eat again.

Who are these bitter and twisted reviewers of my favourite pub? We have been dining here every Sunday for 7 years. Sure, it has a small kitchen. You might not get all options on the menu all the time, but it’s a lovely place, the food is good and it feels like home. It’s also tucked in one of the most beautiful spots in the Chilterns.

I really enjoy this traditional British gastro pub with delicious food and great beer. We sat outside, which was a pleasant option on a hot day. The service was quite slow, it seemed like they forgot about us for a while and even brought the card machine before we had finished our main courses. Despite this, I would definitely come back again.
