Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónPricy but good standard italian food. Decent seating with good weather outside, small inside area.
This place is has great cooking, great friendly staff, and the atmosphere is so intoxicating, that when you leave you expect the mediteranean to lap at your feet. Great food, but certainly book. This place is still a very insider place hurry to experience it before the owners realise how good they actually are. The parmesan risotto is an experience.
Awww, man! (This is the verbalization of a plan that disappoints . Mein Mann und ich have a tradition for Valentine's Day that we were hoping to fulfill it at Trattoria Vale un Peccato: the consumption of pizza. Unfortunately, our quest for the perfect pizza was derailed by multiple events that occurred during the evening. Since I'm into lists lately, here are the things that disappointed: 1 I had called 5 days in advance to make a reservation, and when we showed up on V-Day, 7pm, they had forgotten about us and had no place to seat us, so they had to bring in a table from outside and sat us right in front of the chilly deli window/counter. 2 During the course of our dinner, I had to lean into my soup or hunch over, hands protecting my head as various servers took huge serving platters out of the deli window. Luckily (for them, harumph! they didn't try to put any back while we were there. 3 The bruschetta did not taste fresh, was bland, and the toast was stale. 4 There were gnats flying around in front of our faces (is this a Germany thing? 5 There were too many noodle dishes that seemed appetizing, so we skipped out on the pizza. This may have been a mistake, considering when my guy's lasagna came out, it didn't really taste like what we thought lasagna would...I noted that the sauce on top (not marinara or meat sauce was more like the bechamel you'd find atop a Greek pastichio. On a positive note, our server Giuseppe was perfectly delightful. The minestrone soup, albeit nothing like I'm used to, was delicious, well seasoned, and chock-full of fresh vegetables. My frischkäse and spinach ravioli in butter sauce were quite refined and very delicate, although not terribly filling. Unfortunately, dining at Vale un Peccato was not a memorable experience for the right reasons. And although we didn't try the pizza there, I'd be sure to bet we'll find something tasty elsewhere.

We had a good time but the restaurant failed to make a lasting impression. Decent.
